Nadia Lattice Lace Scarf

This blog is going to primarily be for knitting related topics and a way to share patterns of my designs.  Though this is not my first design, it is the first to be published.  The scarf is in honor of the birth of my granddaughter on Thanksgiving Day.

It is a simple lightweight scarf from a single skein of fingering weight yarn.

Materials:

250 yds or more fingering weight
US 7 needles
Tapestry needle

Pattern repeat is 6 rows

Cast on 25 stitches using long tail cast on

Knit 6 rows in stockinette.

Pattern:
Row 1 - Knit 1, *yarn over, knit 2 together*
Row 2 - Repeat row 1
Row 3 - Repeat row 1
Row 4 - Repeat row 1
Row 5 & 6 knit

Repeat pattern until desired length.
Knit 6 rows, bind off loosely.
Block to open the lace
Finished scarf will vary according to gauge but should be about 5" wide and 60" long.

  1. I love your patterns. I would like to give them a try when things settle down a bit around here. I especially like the red shawl. (I'm reading your blog posts backwards.) :D
